About Taif and its timings
Taif is the summer retreat of the Hijaz, and it was here the Prophet ﷺ went to call the Thaqif after the deaths of Abu Talib and Khadijah. Close by is Qarn al-Manazil, the miqat for pilgrims arriving from Najd and the east. The city is known for its roses and pomegranates and links to Makkah over the mountain road of al-Hada.
Taif sits near 1,900 metres on the Sarawat range, far cooler than Makkah, yet the short distance between them leaves only two or three minutes between their prayer times.
