About Kuwait City and its timings
Kuwait City began as a harbour at the head of the Gulf, and its boom ships reached India and East Africa long before the oil era. The Kuwait Towers and the remains of the old city wall mark two distant stages of the same urban story. Its summer ranks among the hottest of any world city, so daily life and mosque congregations shift to after Maghrib during the peak months.
Kuwait applies its official 18-degree Fajr and 17.5-degree Isha angles, and with its extreme summer the Maghrib to Isha gap is among the shortest in the region.
