This policy explains how Wesalna handles information when you use the site, tools, notifications and AI assistant, and the choices and rights available to you.

Wesalna is an independent platform operated by Mohammad Alashram (referred to as “Wesalna”, “we” or “us”). This policy applies to wesalna.com, its installed web-app experience, tools and public interfaces.
Visitors do not need an account to use public features. Internal administrative accounts protect site management and do not change the account-free visitor experience.

Information you choose to provide includes text entered into the Dhaki assistant, greeting-card details and messages sent to us. Do not submit confidential, financial, health or identifying information about yourself or another person.
Technical and usage information includes page and referrer, language, visit time and duration, interactions, screen width, browser or installed-app mode, device, operating system, browser, and approximate country, region or city derived by the hosting infrastructure. Security logs also process IP address and user agent to prevent abuse, and necessary technical details may be retained for diagnostics.
Random identifiers: we create a random visitor identifier in local storage and a session identifier in session storage to distinguish visits without a name or email. We do not use them to establish your legal identity.
Your browser may store language and appearance, city, prayer calculation method and madhhab, last selected coordinates, font and Mushaf settings, reciter, bookmarks and reading position, khatma plans, tasbih counter, checklists, locally displayed conversations, measurement identifiers and adhan-alert status.
You can clear this data in browser settings. Clearing it does not automatically erase an analytics record, conversation or push subscription already sent to our servers. See the cookie and local storage policy.
The browser requests precise location only when you choose Detect my location. Coordinates are used for prayer times, Qibla and weather, and you may choose a city instead. Coordinates may reach the weather provider when its data is requested.
We may derive an approximate country, region or city from hosting network information for measurement, security and timezone selection. We do not store the IP address in the ordinary analytics record, although it may appear temporarily in infrastructure and security logs.
When you enable notifications with your permission, we store the push endpoint and keys, coordinates, timezone, optional city, language, calculation method, madhhab and selected prayers. These details are needed to calculate when a message should reach your device.
The subscription remains until you disable alerts in the site, the endpoint becomes invalid and is automatically removed, or you request deletion through privacy@wesalna.com. Disabling alerts in the site removes the subscription record from our servers and browser.
We use first-party measurement to understand useful pages, detect automated visits and failures, and protect the service. It includes random identifiers, page, referrer, duration, interactions, language, device and browser information, and approximate location. It includes no name or email, and we do not use your reading of Islamic content to infer religious belief or create a sensitive advertising profile.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and engagement. Google may process page, device, approximate country, referrer and measurement identifiers under its privacy policy and information-use notice. You can use the opt-out add-on or browser blocking tools.
Analytics records are reviewed periodically, and the ordinary administrative setting removes records older than 180 days. Aggregated information that no longer distinguishes a device may be kept longer to measure site performance.
When you use Dhaki, we send your messages, page context and language to an AI model provider to process the request. We log the question and answer, conversation and session identifiers, page, approximate country or city, and device and browser information for quality, safety and abuse prevention.
Conversations are not protected by professional confidentiality and may be reviewed by the platform administrator. The ordinary administrative setting removes messages older than 90 days. Do not use Dhaki to submit sensitive data or obtain a fatwa, diagnosis, or legal or financial advice.
We use provider categories including hosting, database, storage, content delivery, abuse prevention, artificial intelligence and analytics, together with Quran text, recitation, weather, rates and streaming providers. Content-source details appear on the data sources page.
We do not sell personal information. We disclose what is necessary for providers to perform their functions, where law requires it, to protect rights, safety and the service, or in a legitimate reorganisation of the platform subject to continued protection.
Information may be processed outside your country. Where applicable law requires it, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards, while protection standards can differ between countries.
The platform does not currently show advertising to visitors. Administrative infrastructure exists but is disabled. Before enabling Google AdSense or another network, we will update this policy and the cookie policy and apply legally required consent and choice mechanisms.
We do not sell your data or use your Dhaki questions for advertising, and we do not serve behavioural advertising directed at children. Any future ad will be clearly separated from editorial content and Mushaf text.
We process what is necessary to provide a service you request, such as calculating prayer times, playing recitation or answering a question. We rely on consent for location and notifications, and for non-essential storage or technologies where law requires consent.
We rely on legitimate interests to operate a secure and reliable site, measure aggregate use, prevent fraud and repair failures after balancing those interests against your rights. We may also process information to meet a legal obligation or protect rights.
We keep each category only as long as needed for its purpose: an adhan subscription until cancellation or invalidation, assistant conversations under the review cycle described above, and contact messages until follow-up and legal requirements are complete. Security-log periods vary with investigation and abuse-prevention needs.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. If a random identifier prevents us from locating a record connected to your request, we will explain that rather than collect unnecessary extra information.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object, receive portable data, withdraw consent and complain to a regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a legal right.
You can clear local data in the browser, disable adhan notifications with the alert control, and revoke location or notification permission in device settings. For information held by us, email privacy@wesalna.com. We may request limited information to verify the request and protect others.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. We recommend parental supervision for the assistant and notifications. See children's privacy.
External sites and services have their own policies. This policy does not govern how they handle information after you leave Wesalna.
We may update this policy when the service or law changes. The last-reviewed date appears above, and we will highlight a material change appropriately before it takes effect where required.
