About Lahore and its timings
Lahore is an inland city on the Punjab plain and was a Mughal capital, so its walls, gardens and gates still record that era. The red stone Badshahi Mosque faces the fort directly, and the square between them is among the largest religious spaces in South Asia. Its climate is monsoonal: scorching summer, then heavy rains, then a foggy winter that hides the horizon and makes visual dawn observation difficult.
Lahore lies some seven degrees of longitude east of Karachi, so all its times run about half an hour earlier despite the shared official clock.
