About Washington, D.C. and its timings

Washington, D.C. is the seat of the US government on the Potomac River and hosts many Arab and Muslim embassies. The Islamic Center on Massachusetts Avenue opened in 1957 and was one of the first large mosques in the country. The Muslim community spreads into the Virginia and Maryland suburbs, with large mosques such as Dar Al-Hijrah.

Washington observes daylight saving time, so every prayer shifts by a full hour in March and November, and the timetable is worth rechecking that week.
