About Tangier and its timings

Tangier looks over the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, and only about fourteen kilometres separate Africa from Europe at the strait's narrowest point. It is the birthplace of the traveller Ibn Battuta, born here in 1304, and in the twentieth century it lived under a special international status before returning to Morocco. The Tanger Med port is now one of Africa's largest, so many travellers pass through between the two continents.

Tangier is the northernmost Moroccan city in our list, so its summer days are longer than in Casablanca or Marrakech and Maghrib in June comes close to 8:45 pm.
