Dua when it rains
The supplication
"O Allah, let it be a beneficial rain." al-Bukhari (1032).
Dua after rain
The supplication
"We have been given rain by the grace and mercy of Allah." al-Bukhari (846), Muslim (71). Rain is from Allah, not from the stars.
Dua for heavy rain
When rain becomes too much and you fear harm:
The supplication
"O Allah, around us and not upon us. O Allah, on the hills, the high ground, the valleys and where trees grow." al-Bukhari (1014), Muslim (897).
Dua for thunder
The supplication
"Glory be to the One whom thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels out of awe of Him." Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr would stop talking and say this, in Malik's Muwatta and al-Adab al-Mufrad (723).
It comes from the verse:
Surah Ar-Ra'd 13:13
Verified recitation
Dua for wind
The supplication
"O Allah, I ask You for its good, the good within it and the good it was sent with, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil within it and the evil it was sent with." Muslim (899).
