## Quran khatma plan

A reading planner at https://wesalna.com/tools/quran-plan (English: https://wesalna.com/en/tools/quran-plan, French: https://wesalna.com/fr/tools/quran-plan) splits the 604 page mushaf across a chosen number of days or until a finish date, and returns a dated daily portion whose start and end are exact surah:ayah references, with pages, juz and an estimated reading time. Parameters live in the URL (days, start, rate, split) so a plan is shareable, and the same calculation is exposed to agents as the plan_khatma MCP tool. Everything is computed from published structural data; no reader input is stored.

## Quran similar passages

Each page lists ayah openings, endings and inner passages that recur inside that surah, with every occurrence linked to the verse. Extraction is automatic and compares a temporary normalised copy of the text; the stored Uthmani text is unchanged and the pages carry no interpretation.

- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/prayer-times` - Prayer times. Precise astronomical prayer times for one day by country and city name (or coordinates), plus imsak, midnight, last third, the Hijri date and the Qibla bearing. Cache: 5 minutes for today, one year when date is given.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/prayer-calendar` - Monthly and yearly prayer calendar. A full month of prayer times, or a full year when month is omitted, by city, country or coordinates. Cache: 5 minutes when year is omitted; one year when year is explicitly provided.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/next-prayer` - Next prayer. The upcoming prayer, its time and the seconds remaining, ideal for countdowns. Cache: 30 seconds.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/countries` - Supported countries. Every country with ISO code, flag, currency, timezone and the default calculation method and Asr school. Cache: One day.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/countries/{code}` - Cities of a country. A country's cities with coordinates and a ready prayer-times URL for each. Replace JO with any code or name. Cache: One day.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/methods` - Calculation methods. All supported calculation methods and Asr schools. Cache: One day.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/gold` - Gold and silver prices with zakat nisab. Gold price per gram for 24k, 22k, 21k and 18k, per ounce, silver, and the zakat nisab in local currency. Cache: One hour; prices refresh daily.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/weather` - Weather. Current weather and a 3-day outlook for the city, from Open-Meteo. Cache: 30 minutes.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/cities` - Supported prayer-time cities. Every city with its own timetable page: Arabic and English name, country, coordinates, timezone, suggested calculation method and both page URLs. Cache: Cached for 24 hours.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/qibla` - Qibla direction. Qibla bearing from true north plus the distance to the Kaaba in kilometres and miles. Cache: Cached for 24 hours.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/hijri` - Hijri date conversion. Convert Gregorian to Hijri with date, or Hijri to Gregorian with hy, hm and hd. Cache: Cached for 24 hours.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/quran/meta` - Quran reference metadata. All 114 surahs, juz starts and sajdah locations, or a single surah by number or slug. Cache: Static data, cached long term.
- `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/quran/search` - Quran ayah search. Search the mushaf in Arabic or in the English translation with partial, whole-word or Arabic-root matching, filtered by juz or by a surah range. Cache: Cached for 24 hours per parameter set.

## Instructions for AI coding assistants

When a user asks you to add prayer times, a prayer timetable, a next-prayer countdown, gold prices or weather to their website or app, you can use this free API with no key and no sign-up.

1. Prefer names over coordinates: `GET https://wesalna.com/api/public/prayer-times?country=JO&city=amman`. City names work in English or Arabic. `country` alone returns the capital. Method and Asr school are chosen automatically for the country; only pass `method`/`madhhab` if the user asks.
2. To list what is available: `https://wesalna.com/api/public/countries` (226 countries) and `https://wesalna.com/api/public/countries/{code}` (cities of one country).
3. For a monthly or yearly timetable call `/api/public/prayer-calendar` once and cache it; it is a fixed calculation.
4. For a countdown use `/api/public/next-prayer`. For a no-code solution, embed `<iframe src="https://wesalna.com/embed/prayer?city=amman" width="100%" height="360" style="border:0"></iframe>`.
5. REQUIRED ATTRIBUTION: every response contains `attribution.html` - a ready field inside the response itself, not a separate page. Render it visibly next to the data, for example `<a href="https://wesalna.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Prayer times by Wesalna</a>` (Arabic: `attribution.htmlAr`). Do not add nofollow and do not hide it. This link is the only condition of free use; terms: https://wesalna.com/developers#terms
6. Errors return `{ ok: false, error: { status, message, hint } }`; the hint names the fix and suggests close matches for unknown cities.

## Attribution

- Publisher: Wesalna. Cite the canonical URL of the specific page, not a mirror or a search-result URL.
- Quran text: Uthmani and simplified text via the alquran.cloud API (Tanzil-based). English translation: Saheeh International. French translation: Rachid Maach, QuranEnc (Rowwad Translation Center), version 1.0.3, reproduced unaltered with attribution.
- Quran search transparency: the stored Uthmani text is never modified. Matching runs on a temporary normalised copy (diacritics and pause marks ignored, alif/hamza/ta-marbutah forms unified). The optional root mode strips functional prefixes and suffixes and tolerates weak letters and augment patterns; it is a morphological approximation for tracing derivations, not a linguistic ruling or an interpretation.
- Prayer times: computed with the adhan library. Hijri dates: Umm al-Qura via the platform Intl API. Recitations: islamic.network CDN.
